I have sponsored a Contest related to global warming. Instructions for how to submit an entry to the Contest are given below.
Contest entries should be emailed to me (doug dot keenan at informath.org). Each entry should be in a text file. The text file should comprise exactly 1000 characters: one character for each of the 1000 series. A character “0” is to signify that the corresponding series was generated without a trend; a character “1” is to signify that the corresponding series was generated with a trend.
Each entry must be accompanied by a payment of $10 (e.g. via PayPal; I will provide instructions, if wanted). A person submitting an entry must also specify their real name. (If an entry wins the Contest, it is expected that the prize money will be transferred to a bank account with the specified name.)
After an entry is submitted, it is assigned an Entry ID, which is emailed to the submitter. Each Entry ID is at least 21 characters long. The 21-character prefix of every Entry ID is listed in the file EntryIDs.txt. Submitters should confirm that the 21-character prefix of the Entry ID that they received by email is listed in the file.
